Privacy Policy

eFet ("the app") is developed by Adam Bisbe (bblp.cat). This page explains what happens to your information when you use eFet.

Short version

eFet does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything happens on your device.

Microphone and speech recognition

eFet uses your device's microphone and Apple's on-device or Apple-provided speech recognition to hear and understand your spoken answers during multiplication practice. This processing is handled entirely by Apple's frameworks (AVSpeechSynthesizer and SFSpeechRecognizer). eFet itself does not record, store, transmit, or have access to your voice data beyond the moment it's used to check your answer. No audio or transcripts are saved by the app or sent to any server operated by us.

No accounts, no analytics, no ads

eFet does not require you to create an account. The app does not include analytics, tracking, or advertising software of any kind. We don't know who uses the app, how often, or how it's used — we have no way to see that information.

Data stored on your device

Your language and multiplication table preferences are stored locally on your device (using standard iOS storage) so the app remembers your settings between sessions. This information never leaves your device.

Children's privacy

eFet is designed to be used by children, typically with a parent or guardian nearby, similar to how a parent would quiz a child at home. Because the app collects no personal data of any kind, there is no data collected from children either, in compliance with COPPA and GDPR requirements for children's apps.

Third parties

eFet does not share any data with third parties, because it does not collect any data to share. The only external service involved is Apple's built-in speech synthesis and recognition, which is part of iOS itself and governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
